Volleyball Recap: Sun Valley Comes Up Short

Sun Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Ridley Raiders. If the Vanguards were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sun Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

Sun Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Ridley, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sun Valley will host Chichester at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ridley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haverford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
