Baseball Game Preview: Marion Local Flyers vs. Fort Recovery Indians

Marion Local is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Thursday. They will host the Fort Recovery Indians at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Tuesday, Marion Local made easy work of Fort Loramie and carried off a 7-1 victory.

Ian Rindler was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Parker Hess, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Fort Recovery won against Adams Central on Thursday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Indians beat Houston by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-1.

Marion Local pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Recovery, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
