Wellington entered their tilt with Remington on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Broncos. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Wellington who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 22-25, 25-22.

Lyndi Barton paced Wellington's offense, picking up 11 kills. Barton were helped by Kirstyn Gregory and Addy Schnelle, who contributed 12 assists each. Schnelle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Wellington's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Remington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13-2.

Wellington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Attica on the 20th. As for Remington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ell-Saline on Tuesday.
