Football Game Preview: Kingswood Oxford Wyverns vs. Berkshire School Bears

Berkshire School will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Kingswood Oxford extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Wyverns were the clear victors by a 34-10 margin over Middlesex. Given the Wyverns' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 49th in Connecticut, while Middlesex are ranked 220th in Massachusetts) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kingswood Oxford can attribute much of their success to Justin Morle, who gained 127 total yards and two touchdowns, and Justin Ocasio, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Morle's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season. Cameron Thomas got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Kingswood Oxford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Thomas, Michael Waters Jr., and Travis Parsons picked up one apiece. Thomas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Berkshire School didn't have too much trouble with Capital Prep Harbor on Saturday as they won 35-16. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Berkshire School's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kingswood Oxford, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Kingswood Oxford came up short against Berkshire School when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 31-23. Can the Wyverns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
