Soccer Game Preview: Sonoraville vs. Ridgeland

The Sonoraville Phoenix will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Ridgeland Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sonoraville is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Armuchee. Sonoraville blew past Armuchee 9-1 on Friday. Lillian Kindl was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Ridgeland hadn't done well against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Ridgeland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

Sonoraville was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridgeland in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 4-2. Will Sonoraville repeat their success, or does Ridgeland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
