Palisade dropped their record down to 11-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Junction Tigers. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Hunter Howard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Dylon Larson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

As for Grand Junction, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games.

On Grand Junction's side, Kaleb David was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave David a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zyler Fazzi, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

While Palisade had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
