Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genesee). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the More Academy Crusaders on Monday. The Wolves not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024 (when they won 14-2).

Logan Ball made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ball was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Brandon Rouse was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Chase Monroe was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Genesee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Genesee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for More Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Genesee will host Hamady at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for More Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Capac at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
