Baseball Recap: Webster County Takes a Loss

Webster County came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs, falling 12-2. The Highlanders have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Webster County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalob Amos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Webster County's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Tygarts Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Webster County will challenge Greater Beckley Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tygarts Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pendleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
