Baseball Game Preview: Crawford County Wolfpack vs. Paoli Rams

The Crawford County Wolfpack will square off against the Paoli Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with 14 losses in a row, Crawford County turned things around against Clarksville on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Generals 16-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolfpack have posted since May 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Paoli hadn't done well against West Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Senators.

Justin Thornton was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Garrett Hickman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Paoli always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Crawford County's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Paoli, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
