             Fort Osage is 0-3 against Platte County since September of 2021 but things could change  on Thursday. The Fort Osage Indians are taking a road trip to  face off against the Platte County Pirates  at 5:00  p.m.
 Fort Osage is headed into the  contest having just  suffered their biggest  loss since September 3rd on Monday. They came up short against  Grain Valley, falling  3-0. The Indians have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17,  25-18.
 Meanwhile, Platte County can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Chrisman as Platte County made off with  a  3-0 win.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Platte County took every set by at least 18 points. After all that action, the final score was 25-6, 25-7,  25-5.
  Giavanna Derose was a one-man wrecking crew for Platte County as she  had nine  digs and seven  aces. The dominant performance gave  Derose a new career-high in  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Daphne Churchill, who  had nine  digs and two  aces.
 Platte County  couldn't miss and  finished the game having scored on 53.4% of their attack attempts. That's the best  hitting percentage they've posted all season.
 Fort Osage's defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 5-5. As for Platte County, they now  have a winning record of 7-6.
 Fort Osage came up short against Platte County when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, falling  2-0. Can Fort Osage avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
