Soccer Game Preview: Oregon vs. North Boone

The Oregon Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the North Boone Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oregon fell victim to Mendota and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. Oregon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took an 8-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockford Christian. Even if North Boone couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for North Boone, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Oregon beat North Boone 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
