Ridgeview has gone 10-0 against John Battle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Ridgeview Wolfpack are taking a road trip to challenge the John Battle Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

Ridgeview is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Central Wise just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Warriors 58-52.

Meanwhile, John Battle didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lebanon on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 39-33 win. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Pioneers are ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

John Battle has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Ridgeview, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Ridgeview was able to grind out a solid victory over John Battle in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 61-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
