Softball Recap: Southern Huntingdon County's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southern Huntingdon County). They never let the Williamsburg Blue Pirates get on the board and left with a 23-0 victory on Friday. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Southern Huntingdon County's sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Williamsburg, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Huntingdon County will face off against Everett at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Williamsburg, they will challenge Northern Bedford County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
