Volleyball Game Preview: Hinsdale Adventist Academy Hurricanes vs. Islamic Foundation Chargers

Hinsdale Adventist Academy and Islamic Foundation are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Hurricanes will venture away from home to face off against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Two weeks ago, Hinsdale Adventist Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over College Prep of America. The victory continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won nine in a row.

Hinsdale Adventist Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Islamic Foundation was able to grind out a solid win over Universal on Friday, taking the game 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Islamic Foundation was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12.

Islamic Foundation's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Hinsdale Adventist Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Hinsdale Adventist Academy couldn't quite get it done against Islamic Foundation when the teams last played back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
