Softball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Salem can now relate to. They fell 7-2 to the Argyle Scots on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in April.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Argyle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Argyle, they will take on Eldred on June 7. The Scots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
