Volleyball Game Preview: Lumberton Raiders vs. Palestine Wildcats + How To Watch

The Lumberton Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Palestine Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lumberton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Monday, Lumberton got the win against Port Neches-Groves by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Raiders have posted against the Indians since October 9, 2015.

Meanwhile, Palestine posted their closest victory since August 30th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rusk, sneaking past 3-2. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Palestine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 20-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-11.

Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 23-16. As for Lumberton, their win bumped their record up to 36-6.

Everything went Lumberton's way against Palestine in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as Lumberton made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
