Softball Recap: Big Spring Bulldogs vs. Northern York Polar Bears

While Big Spring didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Northern York Polar Bears by a score of 13-8 on Thursday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Polar Bears, too.

Zoey Zimmerman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Big Spring got a massive performance out of Hannah Darhower, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Darhower also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Victoria Rinaldi, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
