Softball Recap: Thrall Has No Trouble Against Milano

Thrall barely beat Milano the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Thrall was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Milano on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Miley Pokorny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Engelke, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Riley Luton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Engelke wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Thrall lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. Thrall is 3-1 when they post two or more home runs.

Thrall now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Milano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Thrall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Rogers on the 25th. As for Milano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-3 win against Snook on the 25th.
