Recap: Millikan Rams vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins
The Millikan Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Woodrow Wilson at home by a decisive 84-65 margin. Millikan has not had much luck with Woodrow Wilson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Millikan had strong showings from Dylan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Max Crawford, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Edwards, who scored seven points.
Millikan has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Woodrow Wilson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millikan will square off against Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakewood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 422 points over their last six contests. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will head out on the road to square off against Long Beach Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Long Beach Poly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Woodrow Wilson likes a good challenge.
