Preview: Victory Christian Conquerors vs. Jones Longhorns
Two dominant signal callers in Ayden Hamilton and Clayton Creasey are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Victory Christian Conquerors will square off against the Jones Longhorns at TBD on Friday. Victory Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Victory Christian walked away with it. They walked away with a 52-39 victory over the Red Devils on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Jones came tearing into Friday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 30-26 win over Davis.
Creasey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 206 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Creasey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards.
The last time Victory Christian lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won four straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.3 points per game. As for Jones, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
Victory Christian strolled past Jones in their previous matchup back in September of 2014 by a score of 37-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Jones' Tarik Leniger, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
