Softball Recap: Dripping Springs Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Dripping Springs entered their tilt with Weiss on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Addy Knapp tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emma Phillips, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Tatum Green was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Dripping Springs' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Weiss, they moved to 15-11 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Dripping Springs will head out to take on Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Weiss, they will challenge Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.86 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
