Meeker took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Luther, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lions 4-2. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 12-4 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Meeker's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Luther, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meeker will welcome Holdenville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
