Softball Recap: Salome Frogs vs. Bagdad Sultans

Salome lost against Bagdad on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Salome Frogs wound up on the wrong side of a rough 22-5 walloping at the hands of the Bagdad Sultans. Salome has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Bagdad's part, Kiah Morris was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nuvia Jauregui was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tatum Jeans, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.

Salome's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bagdad, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

Salome does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bagdad, they will head out on the road to take on Antelope at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams will come into the game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
