Picayune got themselves on the board against Gautier on Tuesday, but Gautier never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 17-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Maroon Tide considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

The win was the third in a row for Picayune, bringing their record up to 9-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Gautier, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
