Basketball Recap: Celebration Extends Winning Streak to Two

Tohopekaliga came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Celebration, but Ricardo Baro wouldn't allow it. The Celebration Storm sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over the Tohopekaliga Tigers on Tuesday thanks in part to Baro, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The victory made it two in a row for Celebration and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Tohopekaliga, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Celebration won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bayside at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Celebration is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. As for Tohopekaliga, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tohopekaliga Tigers face off against the Gateway Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
