Softball Recap: Citrus Valley Victorious

Citrus Valley won the last time they faced Hillcrest and things went their way on Monday too. The Citrus Valley Blackhawks came out on top against the Hillcrest Trojans by a score of 9-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Cali Leverette tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Madison Marquez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Chloe Hearrell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Citrus Valley's record is now 2-0. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Citrus Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Poly on the 18th. As for Hillcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Redlands East Valley on the 19th.
