Basketball Game Preview: Garrett Railroaders vs. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints

Garrett is 2-8 against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Garrett Railroaders will venture away from home to square off against the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Garrett is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They took a 58-44 bruising from East Noble. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Knights are ranked 115th).

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 51-42 to NorthWood.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Garrett, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Garrett might still be hurting after the 51-28 defeat they got from Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Garrett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
