While Union put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Ben Lomond. The Cougars claimed a resounding 50-0 win over the Scots. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gannon Labrum, who threw for 89 yards and two TDs. That's the most passing yards Labrum has posted since back in August.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Union proved: they limited Ben Lomond to a paltry 1.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Rhyker Oakden stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss). Union's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.82 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.1 on average over their last five games.

Union's defense didn't let Tristan Jessop, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Leading the way was Oakden with two.

Union moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ben Lomond, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Union has already played their next game, a 43-7 loss against Grantsville on the 15th. As for Ben Lomond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 37-6 defeat against Ogden on the 15th.
