Softball Recap: Taylorsville Tartars vs. South Jones Braves
Taylorsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 20-3 defeat at the hands of the South Jones Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Taylorsville of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.
Taylorsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zariah Hatten, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Taylorsville will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Leake County at 5:30 p.m. As for South Jones, they will head out on the road to challenge North Pike at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Pike is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
