Softball Recap: Yale Comes Up Short

Yale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-4 to the Lakeland Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 on Saturday.

Yale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Lakeland, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Yale will face off against Almont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 win against Woodhaven on the 25th.
