Volleyball Recap: Academy of Central Florida National Starts off Right with Win over Poinciana Christian Preparatory

Academy of Central Florida National gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Poinciana Christian Preparatory Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Academy of Central Florida National might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Poinciana Christian Preparatory scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Lucca Marques paced Academy of Central Florida National's offense, picking up 13 kills. Marques got some help from Luciano Carrillo and his 28 assists. Carrillo also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Rodrigo Garcia, racking up three apiece.

Academy of Central Florida National has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Colonial on the 5th. As for Poinciana Christian Preparatory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Forest Lake Academy on the 4th.
