Basketball Recap: Amplus Academy Takes a Loss

Amplus Academy was the 56-43 winner over Southeast Career Tech when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Amplus Academy Archers took a hard 66-52 fall against the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners on Thursday. The Archers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast Career Tech found their leader in freshman Jaxson Grant, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zhyier Smith, who scored 12 points.

Amplus Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Southeast Career Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Amplus Academy will take on Escalante in a tournament on December 20th. As for Southeast Career Tech, they and Sandy Valley will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
