Football Recap: Western Hills Finds Home Field Redemption Against Shelby County + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Western Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Shelby County Rockets by a score of 46-35 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Western Hills found their leader in sophomore Jt Jackson, who rushed for 105 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Cameron Flynn helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Western Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Shelby County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Xay Owens, who rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 87 yards and one TD.

Western Hills pushed their record up to 3-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Shelby County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
