Vallivue had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They strolled past the Emmett Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Falcons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Huskies are ranked 82nd).

Vallivue's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xander Wilson led the charge by going 7-for-10 on his way to 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The contest was Wilson's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dominik Betancourt, who shot 44% from the field en route to 15 points.

Vallivue smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Vallivue's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Emmett, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Vallivue will square off against Middleton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Emmett, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.39 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
