Softball Game Preview: Montgomery Tigers vs. Many Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Montgomery will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Montgomery picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past Grand Lake 17-7. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Many won against Teurlings Catholic on Saturday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Many came out on top against Church Point by a score of 5-1. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Montgomery pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Many, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Everything went Montgomery's way against Many in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Montgomery made off with an 11-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montgomery since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
