After a string of seven wins, Maxwell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sutter Huskies by a score of 3-2.

Maxwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Massey Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Maxwell's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Sutter, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Coming up, Maxwell will be taking part in a tournament against Los Molinos at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Sutter, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Natomas at 1:00 p.m. The Huskies are facing the Nighthawks at the right time seeing as the Nighthawks are stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
