Baseball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Takes a Loss

If Bruceville-Eddy was riding high fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Hamilton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bruceville-Eddy lost 13-3 to the Bosqueville Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Zach Campos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Bruceville-Eddy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. The victory made it two in a row for Bosqueville and bumps their season record up to 10-3-1.

While Bruceville-Eddy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
