Soccer Recap: St. Michael's Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After failing to score in their last contest, St. Michael made sure to put some goals up on the board against Pojoaque Valley on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Elks/Elkettes an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Sophia Miera as she scored five goals for her team.

St. Michael's is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five games. As for Pojoaque Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

As for Pojoaque Valley, they will be playing at home against Miyamura at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
