Softball Recap: Abington Heights Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

After only one run in their last contest, Abington Heights made sure to put some runs up on the board against Deposit-Hancock on Saturday. The Comets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over Deposit-Hancock.

Adrianna Condrad spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and seven unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Cecelia O'Malley was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Isabelle Wilmot was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Abington Heights has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Deposit-Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Abington Heights wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Valley View on the 28th. Deposit-Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
