Baseball Recap: Lake County Comes Up Short

Lake County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Greenfield Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 last Monday.

Sawyer Roberson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Lake County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Greenfield, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Lake County will welcome West Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Dresden at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
