Football Game Preview: Creswell Bulldogs vs. Marist Spartans

The Creswell Bulldogs will challenge the Marist Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Creswell 6.7, Marist 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.

Creswell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Thurston, who was ranked first at the time (Creswell was ranked third). The Bulldogs came up short against the Colts on Thursday, falling 26-6. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marist). They breezed past Sheldon to the tune of 27-0 on Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Spartans with their most commanding win of the season.

Marist's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5. As for Creswell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Creswell's way against Marist when the teams last played back in April, as Creswell made off with a 25-0 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
