Football Game Preview: Port Gibson Blue Waves vs. Jefferson County Tigers + Official Tickets

Port Gibson is 1-9 against Jefferson County since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Waves will face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Port Gibson has given up an average of 28.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-20, which was the final score in Port Gibson's tilt against Franklin County on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson County). They breezed past Crystal Springs to the tune of 42-0 on Friday. Jefferson County's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Jefferson County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Port Gibson, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
