Basketball Game Preview: West Stokes Wildcats vs. Hendersonville Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats duke it out with the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, West Stokes ended up a good deal behind Walkertown and lost 60-44.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville entered their tilt with R-S Central on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 81-34 win over the Hilltoppers. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Hendersonville's win came from a few key players West Stokes will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Martiste Mills, who on his way to 11 points and five steals. He is becoming a predictor of Hendersonville's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 17-4 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Jaylon Wynn was another key player, to rack up 15 points.

Hendersonville's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for West Stokes, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.

West Stokes strolled past Hendersonville in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 by a score of 74-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Stokes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
