Baseball Recap: Middletown South Eagles vs. Wall Township Crimson Knights

Middletown South was the 11-1 winner over Wall Township when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 8-3 to the Crimson Knights on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Middletown South got a good showing from Tom Costello, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Costello a new career-low.

At the plate, Middletown South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Buono, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Brendan Sliva was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
