Volleyball Recap: Ursuline Academy Bears vs. Prestonwood Christian Lions
After flying high against Bishop Lynch last Tuesday, Ursuline Academy came back down to earth. The Ursuline Academy Bears came up short against the Prestonwood Christian Lions on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.
Ursuline Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-19.
Taylor Cook had a dynamite game for Prestonwood Christian, getting 13 digs, a kill, and 36 assists. Cook has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gillian Pitts, who had nine digs and two aces.
Ursuline Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 26-15. As for Prestonwood Christian, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 35-2.
