Volleyball Recap: Gateway Tech Takes a Loss

The Gateway Tech Jaguars came up short against the Chaminade Red Devils on Wednesday and fell 3-1. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 25-19 in the first set.

Gateway Tech started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-7.

Chaminade was led to victory by Tommy Knickman and Harry Lierman. Knickman had nine digs, while Lierman had four digs. That's the most digs Knickman has posted since back in April.

Gateway Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Chaminade, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.

Gateway Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chaminade, they will host St. Louis University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
