Roswell (Ga.) helps continue the tradition in the defensive backfield at Alabama.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety is regarded as the No. 58 overall senior prospect in the country according to 247Sports. McKinney visited Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State before picking the Crimson Tide.
McKinney recorded 82 tackles and seven interceptions as a senior at Roswell, helping the Hornets go 14-1 and reach Georgia's Class AAAAAAA state championship game.
He piled up 111 tackles and nine picks as a junior. Roswell went 36-6 in his three years on the varsity roster.
