Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Tigers vs. Orrick Bearcats
There's no place like home for the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 63-28 victory over Orrick at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Wellington-Napoleon has managed all season.
Trotter Hughes was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Haden Terrill, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Wellington-Napoleon now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Orrick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Wellington-Napoleon will head out on the road to take on Lone Jack at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orrick, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-38 defeat vs. Carrollton on the 10th.
