Recap: Clairemont Chieftains vs. San Diego Cavers
The Clairemont Chieftains''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-15 loss at the hands of San Diego. Clairemont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Although Clairemont took the loss, they still got scores from Tyler Allen and Diego Pereyra.
San Diego found their leader in underclassman Miles Johnson, who rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Rogelio Zepeda was another key contributor, rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Clairemont's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for San Diego, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-7.
Clairemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Diego will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
