Baseball Preview: Del Valle Cardinals vs. Westlake Chaparrals
Del Valle is 0-10 against Westlake since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will head out to face off against the Chaparrals at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Del Valle took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Pflugerville by a score of 7-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

BRANDON MARTINEZ made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Del Valle is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-14-1 otherwise. MARTINEZ was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
